Steven Gerrard Academy are delighted to announce Kingsley United F.C. as an official grassroots partner club for the 2020/21 season.
This innovative partnership will create an outstanding learning experience for local children whilst providing an environment for aspiring sports professionals to gain voluntary work experience.
The relationship with Steven Gerrard Academy and Kingsley United has been strong for more than a decade and this official announcement means the club will benefit from access to the Academy resources. Volunteers will be provided with CPD opportunities led by UEFA licensed coaches, while young players will attend exclusive taster days where they will be exposed to sports science technology and video analysis.
Earl Jenkins at Kingsley United said: “Our relationship with Steven Gerrard Academy started back in 2011 when Aubrey Rogers and myself helped recruit a squad in 2011 who went onto become national champions. Some of them youngsters went on to play in the Dallas Cup final, to university and become a professional players. It’s changed so many lives. Steven Gerrard Academy are pioneers of football and education programmes in the City and with Degrees in Football now available it’s unbelievable for the youngsters.”
