All students at Steven Gerrard Academy will be given the chance to take part in amazing experiences. We think it’s essential that students value their time with us and create great memories whether that is on a football tour, meeting elite professionals from the industry or visiting professional clubs.
Dallas Cup
Each year, Steven Gerrard Academy are invited to take a number of squads to the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup tournament, known as the most prestigious youth football tournament in the world. We are one of only 3 providers in the UK to receive this invitation.
Global Showcase
In 2021, we created the Steven Gerrard Academy Global Showcase event. Many professionals or former professionals, scouts, coaches, managers and important figures within the game attended the event to watch boys and girls squads play in competitive fixtures.
Global Coaches Conference
Being paid to travel the world is often a dream for many young people. Steven Gerrard Academy work very closely with LLS to make that dream a reality. Each year in November, SGA and LLS welcome active employers to present their job offers to our students. Our most recent event saw students secure personal training internships in Dubai as well as multi-sports coaching jobs in USA, Canada, China, Sri Lanka and Qatar.
Industry Networking
Our many years of operating have allowed us to create unique and valuable links with clubs and important figures in the industry. We have great relationships with Rangers FC, Wigan Athletic, Fleetwood Town, Swansea City, Brentford FC and Blackpool FC just to name a few. Such links allow us to give our players the opporunity to impress against them in high profile fixtures or to visit the clubs and experience how they operate in different areas.
Away from clubs, we have created a number of other fantastic links to help students gain access into different areas within the industry. A perfect example being The Anfield Wrap who employed one of our students full-time in her dream role within football media.

Guest Speakers
We are fortunate to have a large professional network meaning you can be inspired and learn from some of sports most successful individuals. Our guests include academy ambassador, Steven Gerrard, former Olympiacos FC Manager and former Liverpool and Barcelona Academy Manager, Pep Segura and iconic Premier League Match Commentator, Martin Tyler. We have also welcomed current and former professionals into the academy to take a session for our players on the pitch. This includes sessions led by the likes of Ryan Lowe who has successfully managed a number of EFL clubs and John Achterberg, First Team GK coach at Liverpool FC for a number of years and responsible for the development of Alisson Becker who is one of the world’s most renowned goalkeepers.
